Practical guide
Treviso with children
Treviso is a city of short distances, flat streets, and plenty of water in sight—a good combination for those traveling with children. You can plan a full day without transportation, alternating between walking, breaks, and food.
Water everywhere
The Cagnan canals and the banks of the Sile river capture children's attention: ducks, mills, small bridges, and the houses over the water at Buranelli. The Isola della Pescheria, surrounded by the canal, is a short and fun stop.
Bikes and open space
The cycle paths along the Sile leave the center and run on flat terrain, with stretches away from traffic. For families, it's best to choose a short round trip section rather than the full route.
Rainy days
The city center's porticoes allow you to walk protected for much of the way. The Museo di Santa Caterina and the historic churches are sheltered and quick enough visits for young children.
Practical tips
- Plan for stops every 30–40 minutes: the center is small, and there's always a piazza nearby.
- Strollers work well in the center, but there are stretches of uneven cobblestones.
- Use the essentials page to find pharmacies, water, and services closest to you.
